| "We are using a combination multiple channel thermocouple and thermistor instrument from GEC Instruments along with 40 gage thermocouples to measure the temperature rise on a small man made diamond while shining a laser on the sample. We have been using the instrument for more than one year, and it has kept working properly without any failure or loss of performance. The sensitivity when using thermocouples was typically around 0.005°C, which is much better than the nominal resolution specification of 0.01°C. This instrument is very well suited for the laser calorimetry measurements that our group does. We appreciate the highly qualified and very friendly technical support that GEC Instruments has provided for the instrument, the software and other thermal measurements related issues."
